This storm rolled in shortly after I got my first digital camera, a Nikon Coolpix 2000. I decided to try the camera on lightning. The results weren’t as good as my 35mm SLR, but not bad.
This same storm produced an amazing amount of rather large hail. I got a new roof out of this storm–and was glad my car was in the garage. Cars on the street had golf-ball-like dimples afterwards.

This pile (from hail rolling off my roof) was about 6 inches deep, and was still there the next morning.
